“In the biggest languages, the voices sound nearly human.”

Sichuan speech is part of Southwestern Mandarin, the group also heard in Chongqing, Guizhou and Yunnan. It uses standard written Chinese, so you write your script as you would for any mainland audience. The difference is in the sound. Chengdu speech, for example, has no zh, ch or sh, so 是 sounds closer to sì, and many speakers do not separate n and l.
Sichuan words carry the local mood. 巴适 and 安逸 mean comfortable or great, 要得 means OK, and 摆龙门阵 means to chat. They work well in food videos, ads and comedy. In formal narration they can sound like a joke, so keep them for casual scripts and play each line that uses one.
Plan around one male narrator: a guide at the panda base, the host of a hotpot review channel, or a storyteller in a teahouse. Some Sichuan place names are easy to misread. 犍为 is Qiánwéi, 筠连 is Jūnlián, and the 郫 in 郫都 is pí. If any comes out wrong, add it to the pronunciation dictionary once and it is read correctly across the project.

People use both names for the same speech. Sichuanese is a variety of Southwestern Mandarin, so it is Mandarin, not a separate language like Cantonese. Speakers from Beijing can follow most of it, though local words and tones can trip them up. This voice reads standard Chinese with that accent, which keeps it easy to understand.
Mostly. Chongqing and Sichuan share the same broad dialect, and listeners in both places will hear the voice as southwestern speech. Locals do notice small differences in tone and wording between Chengdu and Chongqing. If your video is set in Chongqing, preview a few lines with local names such as 解放碑 or 洪崖洞 and judge for yourself.
