“In the biggest languages, the voices sound nearly human.”
Review on Capterra , 1 December 2022
“…an impressive natural-like array of voices and great customer support.”

Dutch treats ij as a single letter, so a word that starts with it capitalises both: IJsselmeer, IJmuiden. A trema shows where one vowel ends and the next begins, as in ruïne, België and coördinator. Accents can add stress: één is one and een is a, vóór means before and voor can mean for. Keep these marks when you paste text from another tool.
Compound nouns are written as one word, as in ziektekostenverzekering, and voices read them well. Short forms such as 's avonds, 's morgens, m'n and z'n are normal in speech-like scripts. Plurals of words ending in a long vowel take an apostrophe: auto's, menu's, foto's. English verbs get Dutch endings, such as gedownload or geüpdatet, and the pronunciation dictionary can fix one that sounds off.
Times can trip up English writers. Half acht means half past seven, not half past eight, so write 19.30 or 19:30 when the hour matters. Decimals take a comma (2,5) and thousands a point (10.000). Dates go day first with the month in lower case, as in 27 april. Postcodes such as 1012 AB are worth a preview before you publish.

Dutch, from the Netherlands. The voices use the pronunciation heard in the Randstad, including the harder g. Belgian Dutch, often called Flemish, has a softer g, a different melody and some words of its own, and Belgian listeners notice the difference. For an audience in Flanders, open the Belgian Dutch page in the list above.
Most Dutch ads, apps and webshops use je and jij, because the Netherlands favours an informal tone. Use u for government, healthcare, pensions and messages for older listeners. Some banks and insurers now use je as well. Whichever you choose, keep it consistent, including jouw or uw, so the narrator does not switch tone mid-script.
